The Administrative & Planning department supports the business operations of IT Services including human resources, financials, vendor management, and administrative support.
Human Resources & Facilities
The Human Resources team administers the departments’ HR commitments and acts as a unit-level point of contact for all HR questions and issues. The team works with managers and directors in hiring and reclassification processes, as well as handles payroll, FMLA, disciplinary, union issues, and unit facilities and space requirements for the Major Administrative Unit (MAU).
Financial & Administrative Support
The Financials team is responsible for managing and maintaining the departments’ university account ledgers and budgets, following the MSU Manual of Business Procedures, and adhering to generally accepted accounting practices. Additional duties include the management of the MAU and departments’ procurement cards, purchase orders, vendor contracts, and strategic budget analysis.
The Administrative Support teams provides executive assistance to IT Services Senior Leadership.
Purchasing & Vendor Management
The Vendor Management team is charged with evaluating third-party providers of goods and services, supervising day-to-day interactions and managing longer-term relationships.
