Analytics and Data Solutions (ADS) (formerly Enterprise Information Stewardship) reports to MSU IT and the Office of Planning and Budgets. The team is comprised of business intelligence, analytics, and data solutions teams.
ADS plans and organizes activities for MSU’s vision of data managed as an asset and data-driven decision-making. The Analytics and Data Solutions team improves links between silo-ed databases and data stores and makes information/data easier to find online and use. In addition, the team ensures the effective management of information assets.
Part of the team’s strategic responsibilities is to evaluate the usage of emerging technologies and implement those solutions that give academic and administrative units the capabilities they need to succeed in analytics.
ADS determines the institution’s current data quality/maturity level and establishes enterprise standards including a uniform and repeatable system development life cycle methodology for data quality and cleanliness.
