Fred Sudler

Fred Sudler is the Interim Chief Information Officer, Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Director of Application Services for MSU IT. He leads the university’s enterprise applications team which provides support for the core mission, goals and initiatives of MSU IT.

In addition to his Application Services portfolio, Fred provides leadership and oversight for the Project Management Office, Divisional Budget Office, Human Resources, Communications, Enterprise Architecture, and Governance and Business Analysis.

He has spent more than 25 years in IT organizations at higher education institutions. In previous roles, Fred served as the Assistant Dean in the Coggin College of Business at the University of North Florida and was responsible for technology and facilities. Fred later served as Director of Enterprise Systems at University of North Florida and oversaw all enterprise-wide systems.

Fred has led teams and supported implementations for all areas of the education applications sector (e.g., student ERPs, portals, housing, facilities management, advancement, parking systems, CRMs, credit card gateways, cloud integrations, service desk, security, graphic information systems and analytics, data solutions).

Fred holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Science and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of North Florida. Prior to his roles in higher education, Fred was a technology manager at Price Waterhouse in Jacksonville, Fla. and served honorably in the U.S Navy in Mayport, Fla.
