MSU Infrastructure Planning and Facilities (IPF), Residential Hospitality Services (RHS), and MSU IT partnered to upgrade network equipment in the residence halls. The MSU IT Service Desk will change its email address from firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com on January 17, 2016. Automatic forwarding will be set up until end of spring semester to ensure email sent to either address is received.
eARM, a new online alternative to the submittal of Access Request Memorandums (ARMs), launched August 11, 2014. eARM is the new application for requesting security access for faculty, staff, and students online.Improved efficiency

On October 1, 2013 the MSU Computer Store changed its hours of operation to 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. The expansion is the result of feedback and comments received from the campus community during a recent survey.

Congratulations to Claire Layman, the grand prize winner in the Go Mad for an iPad Mini bracket drawing held by the MSU Computer Store April 8 to celebrate March Madness.
She says, “I am so excited to win! I’ve been planning to save for one. I’ll be contributing to two Institute websites, and will use the iPad to take photos and edit video to put on those sites.”
