{"id":3787,"date":"2014-01-20T13:50:40","date_gmt":"2014-01-20T18:50:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tech.msu.edu\/news\/?p=3787"},"modified":"2015-07-29T15:42:36","modified_gmt":"2015-07-29T15:42:36","slug":"msu-faculty-staff-instructional-tech-award-entries-due-february-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tech.msu.edu\/news\/2014\/01\/msu-faculty-staff-instructional-tech-award-entries-due-february-10\/","title":{"rendered":"MSU Faculty-Staff Instructional Tech Award entries due February 10"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To enhance teaching and learning at Michigan State University, <a href=\"http:\/\/itservices.msu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">IT Services<\/a> holds an annual awards program funded by AT&amp;T to both recognize and encourage best practices in the use of instructional technology.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/attawards.msu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">AT&amp;T Faculty-Staff Instructional Technology Awards<\/a> program recognizes outstanding contributions to the use and development of information technology for teaching and learning in credit-bearing courses at MSU.<\/p>\n<p>The 2014 entry deadline is Monday, February 10, by 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/attawards.msu.edu\/how-to-enter\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-3798\" title=\"ATT-2014-Entry\" src=\"http:\/\/tech.msu.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/ATT-2014-Entry-270x300.jpg\" alt=\"Screen capture of the 2014 AT&amp;T Faculty-Staff Instructional Technology Awards entry page at http:\/\/attawards.msu.edu\/how-to-enter\/.\" width=\"270\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>\n<h2>Eligibility<\/h2>\n<p>Individual MSU faculty and staff, or teams of faculty and staff, are eligible to submit innovations in credit-bearing MSU courses they have developed and offered at least once between summer 2013 and spring 2014 to this competition.<\/p>\n<p>Three first place awards will be given.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Best fully online course<\/li>\n<li>Best blended course<\/li>\n<li><em><\/em>Best technology-enabled innovation in a face-to-face, flipped, blended, or online course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Up to four honorable mentions may also be awarded from any combination of the three categories.<\/p>\n<h2>How to enter<\/h2>\n<p>Applicants should submit an electronic entry form for their course or innovation by Monday, February 10 at 5 p.m. Entries may not exceed 12 pages.
