MSU Makerspace Open House
Friday, Oct. 16 2015 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Make It Happen: Explore the different creative and innovative instructional spaces at Michigan State University.
Description
Makerspaces facilitate pursuits such as electronics, robotics, and 3-D printing mixed with more traditional activities like metalworking, woodworking, and arts and crafts. Campus makerspaces provide places and opportunities for students to learn practical skills and apply them in creative and collaborative ways.
These types of facilities operate as hubs for co-curricular activity and as a place in which instructors assign creative work, entrepreneurialism, and encourage generative or constructive output from students.
