Technology Resources

The MSU IT website, tech.msu.edu, provides technology services, help and support with pages specifically for new students and new faculty, academic staff, researchers, and administrators.

Educational Technology Training

Virtual training is available for all Spartans, students, faculty and academic staff, about technology in the classroom. Learn about accessibility and tools like D2L, MediaSpace, and Spartan A11y. Visit our events calendar for a list of opportunities and to register.

Collaboration Tools Training

Available all semester and offered at no cost, training is available for Zoom, Spartan 365, and specific Microsoft apps like Teams, OneNote, OneDrive, Outlook, SharePoint, and Forms for all Spartans. Students, faculty and academic staff are encouraged to visit SpartansLearn.msu.edu for details, course dates, and registration.

Stay Safe and Secure

Anyone can be a target. Beware of cyber scams and phishing, recognize social engineering attacks, and create strong passphrases. Learn about safeguarding your devices and protecting yourself online at secureit.msu.edu.

MSU Tech Store

Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Computer Center Building to help with all your hardware, software, and accessory needs. The Tech Store also features a walk-up Tech Bar to help answer questions. Visit techstore.msu.edu.

MSU ID Office

Open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. in Room 170 of the International Center. The ID Office issues and provides support for Spartan Cards, handles NetID activations and troubleshooting, creates and maintains affiliate records, sells CATA bus passes, Spartan Cash and dining plans.
