Research Data Management Training

Training support for research teams, graduate students, and trainees.

Research data management training is offered by the Center for Statistical Training and Consulting (CSTAT) and MSU Libraries.

 

CENTER FOR STATISTICAL TRAINING AND CONSULTING (CSTAT)

FEATURES

  • Assist in developing a database, data dictionary and metadata to prepare for data collection or data analysis
  • Teach workshops or courses
  • Data manager or statisticians available for consultation

PRE-REQUISITES

  • MSU faculty, research staff, or graduate students

CHARGES

  • May be subsidized by college- or unit-level sponsorship agreements
  • % FTE or hourly rates available depending on scope of project
  • Some workshops or courses are free, some carry a fee

  • We provide research data management training that is broadly cross-disciplinary
  • Training can be tailored to undergraduate, graduate, or researcher audience
  • Available topics include but are not limited to general research data management, writing data management plans, or data sharing and deposit
  • Specialty training for digital humanities also available

PRE-REQUISITES

  • MSU faculty, staff, student, or affiliated users for most trainings
  • Some trainings open to the public, as advertised on Libraries calendar
