The MSU Web Development Community for Advising, Facilitating, and Enabling (MSU WebDev CAFE) serves the community of MSU web professionals by facilitating discussion and information sharing, convening meetings and events, and offering feedback on policies and large-scale applications.
The purpose of the WebDev CAFE is to engage staff at Michigan State University by:
- Fostering a sense of community.
- Building trust among the IT community.
- Challenging IT to think broadly.
- Sharing best practices.
- Keeping up with new technology.
- Encouraging collaboration.
The group meets on a regular basis throughout the year and is open to anyone interested in supporting the significant role web technology plays at MSU.
Approximately three times a year we organize a forum with four to six speakers and sometimes a discussion panel on a topic of interest to the MSU WebDev community.
Videos of speakers during forums are streamed live with the URL posted on the WebDev CAFE email listserv prior to the forum. The WebDev CAFE YouTube Channel has videos from previous forums.
The WebDev CAFE, like other MSU CAFEs, is run and managed by volunteers.
Current co-leaders are:
