2016 MSU Instructional Technology Showcase
Friday, Apr. 15 2016 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
This is the ninth annual event in this series, and is sponsored by the Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology and MSU Information Technology.
This year, in the spirit of innovation, we are adding a bit of a twist to the showcase model. Often times we walk away from professional development sessions with lots of ideas, but find ourselves with little time to implement those ideas. We envision this year’s showcase as a chance to focus in a bit more and to walk away from the experience with evidence, ideas, and new collaborators who are similarly focused on teaching, learning and technology. In the world of software design, this model could be labeled a “work sprint.”
How It Works
We begin with a free lunch starting at 11:30 a.m. (for the first 100 or so participants). You will then be able to participate in the activities associated with your areas of interest. Attendance is collaborative and highly participatory.
Facilitators will be asked to help set goals for their table and to facilitate discussion; they are not expected to provide direct instruction. We will work in groups for approximately 45 minutes. We will then have ample time for sharing work accomplished by the various interest areas and generating ideas for next steps.
To participate, please fill out this online form and let us know your areas of interest.
