MSU Security Summit: 2015

The Security Summit offers a chance for MSU IT staff to discuss security topics including the state of the IT security industry, software, awareness training, log management, incident response, and disaster recovery and business continuity.

Space is limited for this no-cost event.

Detect graphicDetect: “The State of Log Management”

Security Information Event Monitoring (SIEM) combines log aggregation and big data analytics to provide insight into security-relevant events on MSU’s network. By analyzing machine data supplied through logs, we are better able to detect malicious activity as well as respond to it. This presentation will provide an overview of how we are using SIEM at MSU to better secure our systems and information, on how you can access this service offered by MSU Information Security.
