Academic Orientation Program
MSU’s academic orientation program (AOP) for new MSU students and their parents runs through the summer. AOP is designed to help new and transfer students prepare to begin courses at Michigan State University.
During AOP students will:
- Be introduced to academics and several campus services and resources available at MSU.
- Receive information about majors and how to be successful at MSU.
- Learn how to enroll in classes.
- Understand expectations and responsibilities associated with academic and student life.
- Discuss living in a residence hall.
Student orientation takes place at Case Hall with parent orientation at the Kellogg Center. Students or parents interested in attending an AOP session, may visit orientation.msu.edu.
