MSU’s CISO Andy Weisskopf Joins Big Ten Panel on Cybersecurity in Higher Education 

In recognition of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, join Michigan State University’s Chief Information Security Officer Andy Weisskopf on October 9, 2025, at 2 p.m. for a compelling panel discussion alongside top CISOs from other Big Ten institutions.  

This session, titled “Securing the Mission: Building Awareness and Resilience in Higher Ed,” will explore the evolving cybersecurity landscape in higher education. Weisskopf will join Asmat Noori, from the University of Michigan, Guy Albertini, from Rutgers University, and José Domínguez from the University of Oregon to discuss critical topics such as: 

  • Understanding and managing risk within higher ed organizations 
  • Building and delivering strong security awareness programs and cultures 
  • Anticipating where the security space is headed to better educate and promote resilience across institutions 

Through shared insights and leadership perspectives, the panel will highlight how structure, collaboration, and a unified understanding of cybersecurity can help universities securely fulfill their missions of teaching, learning, and research.
