Learning Design and Technology at Michigan State University currently has an opening for an instructional designer (MSU classification: Information Technologist) positions. This position will work with faculty, university clients and the LearnDAT team (designers, programmers and students) to consult, develop and produce complete web-based courseware for online and blended offerings at MSU.  Additionally, this position will assist with evaluation, testing, implementation, documentation and training of emerging technologies and best practices in teaching and learning with technology.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, digital media art, information systems, or educational technology; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in Web design, instructional design, interaction design, information architecture design, project management, and education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Desired Qualifications: Master degree in related fields.  Excellent communication skills; instructional design background; experience with learning/course management systems; experience organize and develop faculty development workshops;  knowledge of current and emerging instructional technology; experience with multimedia tools, including linear and interactive digital video, Flash, and other emerging technologies related to delivery of interactive content over the Internet; ability to work well in a team environment.
