MSU Seminars in Research and Instructional Technology to run May 12-13

The spring 2015 Seminars in Research and Instructional Technology for university faculty, academic staff, and graduate assistants will be May 12-13 in computer labs and classrooms on MSU’s East Lansing campus.

The complimentary seminars provide hands-on instruction on research tools, Learning Management Systems, library resources, software training, and other technology resources.

 

MSU Libraries, IT Services, and the Office of the CIO coordinate the event.

The schedule

Participants may choose from a variety of sessions over May 12-13 designed to support teaching and research at MSU.

Morning sessions run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day. Afternoon sessions run from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. each day.

When registering , you can choose from one to four sessions over the two-day period.

Lunch presentations

There will be a lunch presentation both days in the MSU Union Ballroom from 12:00-1:15 p.m.

The May 12 presentation will be on using robots for telepresent students in face-to-face classes. The May 13 presentation will be on the Quality Matters pilot at MSU.

All sessions will start promptly at their scheduled times.

Graduate assistants may enroll by calling the IT Services Support Desk at (517) 884-3000.

The deadline for enrollment is May 8, 2015.
