Learn about MSU IT’s Application Performance Monitoring service

UPDATE: https://go.msu.edu/APMblog.

MSU IT recently launched an Application Performance Monitoring service to MSU IT staff and departments.

Application management & monitoring

Application Performance Management (APM) is a suite of software tools that can help staff view and diagnose the performance and availability of web-based applications. APM monitors end-to-end user actions, providing visibility into applications and supporting infrastructure.

Performance thresholds and smart baseline metrics allow proactive alerts on specific user actions. This helps quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve performance issues and root causes. Built-in dashboards and reporting provide performance detail immediately upon deploying APM, or you can customize your own dashboards to display specific key performance metrics.

APM can be deployed for applications hosted by MSU, as well as vendor applications hosted in the cloud.
