End-of-Semester 5-minute D2L BrightSpace Tips

Extra Credit and Bonus Items in D2L

Learn how to award extra credit in the D2L gradebook by allowing points to exceed an item’s maximum or by creating a separate bonus item, This tip also covers where to place bonus items so final grades calculate correctly.

Upload Grades to D2L from a Spreadsheet

Export a CSV from the D2L gradebook, update grades in Excel, then upload the file back to D2L.

Create a 4.0 GPA Scheme to Submit Final Grades from D2L  

Set up a 4.0 GPA grading scheme in D2L and apply it to your final grade item so grades are ready to submit directly to the Registrar. No file uploads or manual entry required.
