MSU LearnDAT brand becomes part of MSU IT, Hub for Innovation

MSU IT Teaching and Learning Technology retired the Learning Design and Technology (LearnDAT) brand on January 16. LearnDAT is part of MSU Information Technology and the newly formed Hub for Innovation in Learning and Technology.

MSU IT Services relaunched the MSU technology website, tech.msu.edu, on September 3 to enhance the user experience, streamline content and navigation, and advance the MSU and information technology brands.

MSU faculty & staff recognized for use of instructional technology

Four outstanding instructors for online and blended courses were selected as recipients of the 2014 MSU AT&T Faculty-Staff Awards in Instructional Technology.

“The AT&T Awards provide a venue for MSU to recognize outstanding faculty and staff whose innovation and creativity inspire others in new ways of using technology in instruction,” said Severin Grabski, lead judge for 2014 AT&T Awards; associate professor in the Department of Accounting & Information Systems, College of Business; and senior faculty advisor to the CIO of MSU. MSU Faculty-Staff Instructional Tech Award entries due February 10

To enhance teaching and learning at Michigan State University, IT Services holds an annual awards program funded by AT&T to both recognize and encourage best practices in the use of instructional technology.

Desire2Learn Conversion Labs to be held at MSU in February, March, April

D2L Conversion Labs will be held around campus to provide instructors with a hands-on course conversion experience to facilitate smoother transitions to Desire2Learn (D2L).

Conversion labs are held through MSU IT Services and co-sponsored by the Office of Faculty and Organizational Development.
