MSU IT welcomes new assistant chief information officer

MSU IT welcomed Laura Clark as assistant chief information officer on Monday, January 12, 2026. 

Laura comes to MSU from the State of Michigan, where she served as chief information officer (CIO). In that role, she oversaw operations for the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB), which provides information technology, business, and administrative services to state employees and stakeholders, as well as Michigan residents, visitors, and businesses. MSU CIO Rich Czarnecki receives 2025 Michigan ORBIE Award

Rich Czarnecki, MSU Chief Information Officer, has been named the 2025 Michigan CIO of the Year ORBIE Award winner in the Large Enterprise category. The award was presented on Thursday, December 4, during a ceremony at The Henry in Dearborn, Mich. 

“This award is really about the incredible work of our MSU IT team and recognition of the strong relationships we’ve built with our campus partners,” Czarnecki said. Read Full Article →

Help that Supports Digital Learning at MSU

Vital to this effort is the LMS Help Page, a resource that empowers instructors to build consistent, accessible, and student-friendly Digital Hubs within D2L.
