MSU Adobe Connect to be retired on August 1
On August 1, 2015, the MSU Adobe Connect system will be retired, in part due to the success of the MSU Zoom conferencing service that first launched in January 2014.
MSU IT Services will be expanding Zoom licensing starting on May 13.

SecureIT site provides information security guidelines to MSU community
The SecureIT site recently launched to provide the MSU community with one place for guidelines and best practices on information security.
MSU employees first used the site as part of the two-factor authentication rollout in March and April 2015.

MSU to roll out two-factor authentication starting March 16
Over the next six weeks, Michigan State University is adding steps to safeguard personal and institutional data by applying two-factor authentication to human resources, payroll, and finance systems that are part of our Enterprise Business Systems (EBS).

Updates made to MSU Web Accessibility Policy and standards for digital content
Michigan State University is committed to accessibility on all levels. As we move toward a higher degree of dependence on the web to access programs, services, businesses, and activities, it becomes increasingly important to ensure that content is accessible to the broadest possible audience.
MSU departments, employees, faculty, and instructors are being asked to update web pages, online course materials, e-texts, PDFs, and any online content that is used for business and academic activities to meet the current MSU Web Accessibility Policy which includes Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Conformance Level AA. New eARM application now available
eARM, a new online alternative to the submittal of Access Request Memorandums (ARMs), launched August 11, 2014. eARM is the new application for requesting security access for faculty, staff, and students online.

MSU email, AFS to expire April 25 for past employees
MSU IT Services will be deactivating mail.msu.edu email and AFS storage accounts for those who have not been faculty, staff, or affiliates for one or more years.
Official retirees are not included in these account expirations. They maintain their MSU email and AFS accounts.
