D2L Subscription Training
We’re happy to announce that D2L Subscription Training is now available at no cost to all MSU staff and faculty and will be available through May 31, 2020.
D2L is MSU’s learning management system that allows instructors to utilize online and blended classroom learning in their curriculum. Through D2L, instructors can upload the course syllabus, send email and announcements, receive homework submissions, facilitate discussions, maintain a gradebook, and use other tools that will make communication, assessment, and grading easier. The new D2L user interface, Daylight, has officially launched, and we’re excited to introduce it to you!

MSU IT will be upgrading D2L to a new user interface called Daylight on May 11, 2018.

Insights Portal now available for MSU D2L course analytics
MSU course admins and editors now have access to the Insights Portal for more advanced analytics reporting on courses in MSU D2L (Brightspace).
The Insights Portal now enables educators to use MSU D2L course statistics and visualizations to track, measure, and monitor student progress and help improve learner engagement aiding in student success. Read Full Article →

MSU recently migrated MSU D2L to the Brightspace/D2L cloud and upgraded from version 10.6.3 to 10.7.0 during May 11-13. (Read more on the D2L cloud migration and upgrade.)

MSU D2L upgrade planned May 11-13
MSU IT will be migrating the MSU D2L system to a hosted environment May 11-13. D2L will be unavailable beginning at 6:00 p.m. on May 11, and will be available again after 7:00 a.m. on May 13.
Additionally, D2L course merge and unmerge requests will now be handled by the MSU IT Service Desk at (517) 432-6200. Read Full Article →

Check out D2L training and support options before ANGEL retirement
ANGEL will be retired on May 15, 2015, as MSU moves to Desire2Learn for its centrally supported learning management system. Many resources are available to support instructors and staff as they transition courses and groups to the D2L.
For a timely conversion, IT Services recommends any course materials and groups are converted from ANGEL to D2L prior to February 1, 2015, so users can experiment and get comfortable with the new system. Read Full Article →
